Obituary of Gilberto Amaral Macedo

MACEDO, GILBERTO AMARAL – Surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Bluewater Health at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Maria (Lima). Dear father of David (Annabella) Macedo, Sarnia and Carlos (Jeanette) Macedo, Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Nicholas David, Spencer Ryan, Vanessa Marie and Olivia Marie. Brother of Jacinto (late Lourdes) Macedo, Azores, Anna (late Jorge) Macedo, U.S., Artur Macedo, Brazil, Amelia (late Antonio) Medeiros, Azores, John (Sofia) Macedo, Sarnia and Lubilia (Albert) Torres, Azores. Brother-in-law of Maria Du Carme (late Christovao) Lima, Azores and Jose (Tecula) Lima, Azores. Gilberto retired in 1998 as a foreman with Curran Contractors where he worked for 39 years. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday, July 1st from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Friday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
