Obituary of Rosemary Gertrude Bechard

BECHARD, Rosemary Gertrude -  Suddenly at Bluewater Health on Sunday, October 30, 2011, Rosemary died at the age of 78.  Predeceased by her husband Ross (1999).  Dear mother of Tim Bechard and wife Norma and their children Kelly and the late Karen, Sarnia, Joan Hett and husband Tom and their children Erica, Sarah and Amanda, Guelph, Patricia Pequegnat and husband Ian, and their children Jonathan, Elizabeth and Rachel, Guelph, Keith Bechard and wife Mia and their children Nicole, Lauren and Christopher, Toronto, Kevin Bechard and wife Pam and their children Danielle, Rochelle, Aaron, Mitchell and Chloe, Bradford, Christopher Bechard and wife Jatinder and their daughter Jaya, Victoria, B.C., Carolyn Hannon and husband Rob and their children Ryan, Alexandra and Jack, Burlington.  Dear sister of the late John Lucier and wife Rita, Gerrard Lucier, Helen Hanak and husband John.  Rosemary was a nurse for many years in Port Huron, longtime member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, the Sarnia Yacht Club and the Sacred Heart CWL.  She was an avid traveler and regularly cruised the world. Rosemary particularly enjoyed travelling with her grandchildren.  She was a passionate bridge player.  Friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, November 3rd at 11 a.m.  Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Doctors Without Borders, 402-720 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON  M5S 2T9 or Community Concerns for the Medically Fragile, 560 Exmouth St., Sarnia, ON  N7T 5P5.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Rosemary Bechard in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
