Obituary of Robert Thomas Riddoch

RIDDOCH, Robert Thomas Edward (Rob) – Peacefully at Bluewater Health – Palliative Care on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the age of 78.  Beloved husband of the late Pamela Ann (McLeavey) (2004).  Loving father of Greg Riddoch & his wife Kelly, Craig Westman, Megan Stuart & her husband Ryan and Heather Riddoch.  Proud Grandpa of Robert Lefroy and Elsie Stuart.  Dear brother of Andrew (Hazel), Elsie, Jack (Alma), and Gib (Joan) and brother-in-law of Dennis (Janet) and Terry McLeavey and their families.  Predeceased by parents Andrew & Georgina, siblings George, Jessie, Douglas and James Riddoch, Ruth Riddoch (sister-in-law) and friend and brother-in-law Neil Chalmers.  Rob retired from Imperial Oil in 1991 and became a dedicated stay-at-home dad. He was a member of the Knight’s of Columbus, the Curcillo Movement and also a very committed member of the Huron Oaks Golf Club.  Rob’s family would like to thank Dr. Davies and the staff at Bluewater Health and the London Regional Cancer Clinic for their loving care.  Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Keller at St. Michael’s Church (Brights Grove) on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 11 a.m.  Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Pt.
