Obituary of Roland Houle
HOULE, Roland – At St. Joseph’s Hospice on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the age of 84. Best friend and loving companion of Lucille Desilets. Dear brother of John Houle, Sarnia, Roger Houle, Sarnia, and Simone Lefebvre, Shawinigan Falls, Quebec. Brother-in-law of Rita Houle, Point Edward and Colette Houle, Sarnia. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Elaine (Suhler), parents Arthur & Rosa Houle, brothers and sisters Gaston Houle, Robert Houle, Dolores Houle, Huguette St. Louis and Rene Houle, sister-in-law Jackie Houle and brother-in-law Robert Lefebvre. Roland was a member of the local antique car club and the 4th Degree Knight’s of Columbus. He was a retired member of Local 530 Electrical Workers Union having worked at various sites and most recently as a maintenance electrician at Lambton College. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Keller at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. A tree will be planted in memory of Roland Houle in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 18th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
