Obituary of Barbara Jane Rupar

RUPAR, Barbara Jane (nee Donohue) – At Marshall Gowland Manor on Saturday, August 8, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Walter (2008). Loving mother of Michael & his wife Jane of Oakville, Marianne Ganter & her husband Ralph of Sarnia, Dianne Burns & her husband Peter of Oakville and Christopher & his wife Theresa of Ottawa. Proud grandmother of Laura & Emma Rupar, Steven, Katherine & Andrew Ganter, Matthew, Carolyn & Kathleen Burns, and Nicholas, Erika & Allison Rupar. Also survived by sister Mary Donohue and brothers Leo Donohue & his wife Betty and Ray Donohue & his wife Rosemary. Barb was a long time Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital Sarnia, and a 50 year member of the St. Benedict’s Catholic Women’s League. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at St. Benedict’s Church on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
