Obituary of Ann Dusten
DUSTEN: Ann Louise: 6/18/47 - 3/13/14 Ann's amazing life journey has ended. Her courage and resolve will surely be her legacy as she is remembered by family and friends. She has been a life's blessing to husband of forty five years, Paul, and their two children, Cheryl Biehler of Burlington and Gregory of Trenton, Michigan. Cheryl and her husband Rob have blessed Paul and Ann with a beautiful granddaughter, Sarah. Ann has been a loving daughter to mother, Vivian McIntyre of Port Huron, Michigan and father, Herbert who passed away in 2011. She also leaves a brother, David McIntyre of Yucca Valley, California and his wife, Valorie, sisters-in-law Catherine Dusten and Linda Dill and brother-in-law, Ken Dill. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Ann enjoyed a happy life even though her health presented many challenges over the past 20 years. To complain was not her nature. She chose to enjoy her time with family and many friends... often on a golf course, on family trips to Florida, or travelling Alberta with best friend, Helen Miller of Calgary. Born and raised in Port Huron, Ann cherished long lasting friendships and get-togethers with childhood friends from Roosevelt Public School. Cremation has taken place as well as a beautiful "farewell" service at St. Joseph's Hospice. A celebration of Ann's life will be announced and held at a later date. In Sarnia-Lambton we are fortunate to have the facilities and staff available at Bluewater Health and the wonderful, caring environment provided by staff and volunteers of St. Joseph's Hospice. Donations in memory of Ann may be made to Bluewater Health Foundation, 89 Norman Street Sarnia, Ontario N7T 6S3 or St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 Christina Street N, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 5W3. A special thanks to Dr. Glen Maddison for the wonderful work he does in palliative care, and Sandy Ferguson, R.N. who provided compassionate home care to Ann these past several months. Arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131. Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
