Obituary of Gwen Hopper

HOPPER (NEAL), Gwendolyn, Anne – With her family by her side at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Gwen Hopper died on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Hopper. Loving sister of Buzz (Harold) Neal & his wife Carolyn, Toronto. Dear friend of Bruce Little, Sarnia. Cherished aunt of David Neal & his wife Leanne Styles, Toronto, Dr. Donald Neal & his wife Alix Stevenson, Goderich and Alan Neal, Toronto. Also survived by many loving great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents The Rev. Dr. Harold B. & Esther Neal. Gwen graduated from Victoria College, University of Toronto in 1943 and was a dedicated and long standing teacher at Northern Collegiate, Sarnia. An enthusiastic international traveller, she was highly committed to her many friends and extended family who will remember her with great fondness. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Grace United Church, 990 Cathcart Blvd., (at Indian Rd.) Sarnia, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10 – 11 a.m. where the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., immediately following visitation with the Rev. Dr. Brad Morrision officiating. Interment at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. Arrangements entrusted to McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131.
