Obituary of Heinrich Wilhelm Fietz

FIETZ, Heinrich Wilhelm "Henry" – Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Saturday, December 28, 2013, Henry passed away at the age of 87 with his wife of 54 years Elizabeth "Betty" (Bellman) by his side. Dear brother of Lore Bethge and the late Hilde Spiegel of Germany. Henry came to Canada from Heidelberg, Germany and landed in Halifax in 1952. Henry worked as a laboratory technician at Shell Oil from 1952-1966. He took a position at Canadian Industries Limited (C.I.L.) in 1966 and worked there for 20 years retiring as a laboratory supervisor in 1986. Henry was an avid art collector. He loved opera, classical music and was a world traveller. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
