Obituary of Charles Harrison Corey

COREY, Charles Harrison "Tip" – Suddenly at Bluewater Health on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Jean (Sewell). Dear father of Stephen (Helen) Corey, Oakville, David (Karen) Corey, Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Margaret (Scott) Robinson, Oakville. Loving grandfather of Brigid, Harrison, Justin, Ashley and Keira Corey and Natalie and Andrew Robinson. Brother of Diana (Robin) Woods, Burlington. Predeceased by his parents Harrison & Helen Corey. Tip entered the oil business with his father Harrison Corey in 1950. He was the proprietor of Corey Fuels from 1970-1990. He was the Past Commodore and current active member of the Sarnia Yacht Club and a former member of the Petrolia Lions Club. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends as a true gentleman who cherished his family above all else. His love for sailing and expert woodworking will be forever a part of all who knew and loved him.Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
