Obituary of Catherine "Cathy" Anne Schramek

SCHRAMEK, (nee Coutu) CATHERINE ANNE, After a courageous battle with cancer Catherine died at St. Joseph's Hospice on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the age 56. Loving mother to Justine Brisson & her husband Corey, Sarnia. Beloved sister of Lynda Hertle & her husband Brian, Sarnia, Larry Coutu, Toronto, Paul Coutu, Toronto,. Cherished aunt to Melissa (Mike) Henry, Leah Coutu, Emily Coutu, William Bonville (Devon), Matthew Waterman (Amanda) and Kyle Coutu. She will be sadly missed by her loving dog Joally. Predeceased by her parents Joanne & Roland Coutu and brother Charles Coutu. Cathy worked over 20 years as a bartender at the CEP Local 914 Hall. She loved to spend time at the Orchard View campground relaxing, reading and being with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 15th at the MCKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131. A memorial celebration of Cathy's life and a fundraiser for St. Joseph's Hospice will be held at Orchard View Family Campground, 6014 Lakeshore Rd., Lambton Shores, on Saturday, August 24th at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may forward memorial donations to the St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 Christina St. N., Sarnia, N7T 5W3.
