CAMPBELL, Stanley, Francis – With his loving family by his side, Stanley Campbell died in Sarnia at Vision Nursing Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Catherine "Kay". Loving father of Brian "Nipper" Campbell, Sarnia, Denise Kohlmeier & her husband Jace, Sarnia, Carol Wolfer & her husband Craig, Peterborough and Greg Campbell & fiancé Samantha, Memphis,TN. Cherished grandfather of Amy, Alyson & Kristin Kohlmeier, Ryan, Kyle & Geoff Wolfer. Dear brother of Doris McKellar. Brother-in-law to Rita Parsons and Norma O'Brien. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents Frank & Minnie Campbell, sister Phyllis Baird & husband Don, brother-in-law Walt Yeates and in-laws Margaret & Leo Starr, Noreen & Ed MacDonald, Tom Parsons, Patrick O'Brien and Mary & Cal Duchene. Stan was a proud veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force and served during the Second World War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 62, the Brick Layers & Allied Craftsman, Local 23 and the Century Club for many years. As an avid sports enthusiast, Stan spent many hours officiating football, enjoying local hockey and track & field events. Many thanks to the devoted staff at Vision Nursing Home, Dr. Rex Garrett & Dr. Liam Gannon for their excellent care and compassion. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 18 with The Venerable Rev. Gordon J.J. Simmons officiating. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society of Sarnia Lambton or the Breast Cancer Society of Canada both at 420 East St. N., Sarnia, ON N7T 6Y5 or The Century Club, Scholarship Fund, Central United Church, 220 Brock St. Sarnia, N7T 4N9.
