Obituary of Fabian Merlin Bourgeois
BOURGEOIS, Fabian “Merlin” – Surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health on Saturday, November 10, 2012, Merlin died peacefully at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Anna (1972). Loving father of the late James (2001) (Betty), Merl Jr. (Colleen), Rick (Cheryl), Fred (Elynda), Connie (John) Wright, and Lorraine (Bruce) Middleton. Proud grandpa of Denise, Tina, Nicole, Trevor, Nadine, Tanya, and Jarrod; and great-grandpa of fourteen. Dear brother of Eloise, Hubert, Halden, Lonnie, Cora. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Thelma, brothers Earl and Charles, and sisters Irene and Edeline. Merlin was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Navy Club, long time barber at McCormick’s Barbershop, and retired member of the Boilermakers Local 128. Friends will be received at St. Benedict’s Church, 1011 Oak St., on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 9-11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Private family interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
