Obituary of Edward Frank Franz
FRANZ, Edward Frank – At Bluewater Health in the presence of family and friends, our beloved brother peacefully passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the age of 64. Dear brother of Donna Denowski (Harold Zemlak) and Karen (Jim) Morgan. Loving uncle to David Denowski, Doris and Lindsay Morgan, Sharon (David) Short; and great-uncle to Kyle and Austin Gilchrist. Also survived by his dearest friend and confidant Terry (Loretta) Latham. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Doris Franz. Edward received his schooling to become an electrician at age 19 at Palliser Campus at S.I.A.S.T., Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Upon completion of his apprenticeship he decided to spread his wings and moved to Timmins, Ontario to begin his career. He settled in Sarnia over 40 years ago, and loved the city and was glad to call it his home. Edward served as a member of the IBEW Local 530 and proudly received his 40 year watch in recognition of his many years of service. Edward’s family meant the world to him. He possessed an ultimate joy for living things such as his yard, and the beauty of his flowers and the park that surrounded him. He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him. Our family wishes to express immense gratitude to Sandy Ferguson for the compassionate care and understanding she gave to our brother during his time of illness. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Friday, September 28th from 12-1 p.m. A Celebration of Edward’s life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 1 p.m. with The Ven.
