Obituary of Lois Isabelle Bremner
BREMNER, Lois – Peacefully, with her loving daughters at her side at Bluewater Health on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Fred Bremner (1982). Dear mother of Jane Bremner (Paula), Lakefield, Ontario and Marie Bremner (Gerry Hayne), Langley, B.C. Sister of Dorothy Irwin, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Aunt of Jim and Bruce Irwin. Lois will be missed by her family and also her long-time friends, many of whom she knew through her participation in groups including the Canadian Federation of University Women, Lambton Wildlife, Blackwell and Central United Churches, Dow Retirees and her bridge groups. She will be remembered for her inquiring mind, a wide-ranging curiosity, a genuine interest in people and a willingness to listen to their stories without judgment. Friends and family will gather from 1-3 pm in Mid Turner Hall at Central United Church on Tuesday, September 18th. Remembrances of Lois’ life will be guided by The Rev. Christine Jerrett at 1 p.m. Private Interment Blackwell Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131.
