Obituary of Irene Logan
LOGAN, Irene (SMYTH) - June 3, 1944 - September 4, 2012. Irene Logan (Smyth), 68, passed away peacefully with her children and family by her side on Tuesday September 4th, 2012 at her home in Sarnia. Beloved wife of late husband John Logan (2003). Loving mother of her children Gregg Logan and his wife Michelle, Stacey Sterling and her husband Jason. Loving, proud Grandmother of Connor and Madison. Dear sister of Edmund Smyth and wife Caroline. Cherished niece of May and Adam (deceased) Allan, cousin to Adam, Andrew, Myonne and Marcelle and aunt to Stephanie, Maegan and Arianne. Irene was a devoted wife, loving mother and a very proud grandmother. She lived with such joy and gave the same to all who knew her. Her smile and infectious laughter was a gift to all her friends whom she loved so dearly. Irene was an active member of the Sarnia community being an avid curler and golfer. Irene was an adventurous traveler who loved to take worldwide trips with her daughter and her beloved girlfriends. Irene touched the lives of so many people with her unconditional love. Her dignity, beauty and grace will be missed dearly but will remain a part of all who were blessed to have known her. Family and friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. Saturday, September 15th at 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of Irene’s life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 12 noon with Allan McKeown officiating. As an expression of sympathy, friends may send memorial donations to the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Proceeds for this ride go to Princess Margaret Hospital where Irene received her treatment.
