Obituary of Helen Hillmer

HILLMER (nee MacArthur), Helen – Peacefully at Afton Park Place on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the age of 104.  Helen is predeceased by her husband, B. Whitney Hillmer (1988) and her parents Howard and Lottie (nee Fry) MacArthur; and survived by many special friends.  She was a lifetime member of St. George’s Anglican Church, one of the original members of St. Martha’s ACW Group, and retired from Imperial Oil Ltd., after 41 years of service. Special thanks to the staff of Afton Park Place for their loving care and kindness shown to Helen during her stay there. Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at All Saints Anglican Church (corner Vidal & Charlotte). The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Church and will be officiated by the Rev. Steven Harnadec. Arrangements entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 344-3131.   As an expression of  sympathy, friends who wish may forward memorial donations to All Saints Anglican Church, 248 Vidal St., Sarnia, ON  N7T 5Y4 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St., Pt.
