Obituary of Crescenzio Grasso

GRASSO , Crescenzio­ – At home surrounded by family, on Friday, March 2nd, 2012, Crescenzio passed away at the age of 69.  Beloved husband of Emilia for 36 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Carmela and Phil Graham, Stefania Grasso and Arnett Woosen and Maria-Angela and Darryl Dawe. Proud and doting Nonno of Hunter, Callie and Emilia. Survived by his brother Raffaele and wife Palma, and their children Anna, Anthony, Fio and wife Michelle (Michaela and Luca), his sister Maria Grasso and his nineteen Barbato nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Fioravante and Carmela and his sister Anna-Rita Grasso.  Family and his garden were the two things he loved most. He cultivated both with principle, dedication and love. Interested in new experiences like starting a new life in Canada for his family, he had an adventurous spirit. Small pleasures were enjoyed by many at his side while fishing, playing bocce ball, card playing and walks under the bridge. His many gardens will flourish well beyond his years. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 at 10 a.m.  Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Thameswood Lodge through the London Health Sciences Centre.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com   A tree will be planted in memory of Crescenzio Grasso in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
