Obituary of James Allen

ALLEN, James – Born February 1, 1928 in Uphall (Edinburgh) Scotland, James passed away at the Victoria Hospital in London on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Beloved husband of Pauline (Ross) and dear father of Jane Allen, Calgary and Suzanne (Peter) Earnshaw, Toronto. Proud grandfather of Rebecca and John. James was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Allen and his sister, Nancie Allen. James graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree from Imperial College, London University, England and had a rewarding career with Imperial Oil. He was an active member of Central United Church and the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. A celebration of James' life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Central United Church and will be officiated the Rev. Dr. Don Lockett. Reception will be held at the church (Lower Turner Hall) following the service. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the charity of your choice.
