Obituary of Albert Prevost
PREVOST, John Albert – After having given the best of his 94 amazing years on Saturday, September 6, 2014, John Albert Prevost departed from this world leaving his imprints on the hearts of his dedicated and loving wife Gertrude (Mother) of 64 years, his children Andy (Dale), Ron (Sue) and Ginette (Gerard). Proud Pepe passes on a legacy of cherished memories to his grandchildren Rob (Cindy), Heather (Dwayne), Shanon (Tony), Shawn (Kate), Mark, Michelle (Mark), Christian, Nicolas, Gabrielle and Celeste. As our family roots grew deeper, Great-Pepe was blessed with yet another generation of sweethearts and poochies to love and cuddle in his great-grandchildren Grayson, Dustin, Drake and Trenton; Brett, Colton and Mason; Spencer and Taylor; Jonathan, Katherine and Matthew. He also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews whom he cherished deeply. Albert is predeceased in life by infant twin sons, his parents Philippe & Marguerite (Chapados) Prevost, his siblings Mae, Annie (George), Catherine (Louis-Philippe), Raymond (Yvonne) as well as his respected father and mother-in-law Albert & Regina (Gagnier) Charron. Dad was a dedicated & loving man and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for many years and a member of the Carpenter's Union, Local 1256. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1429 and of the 4th Degree Monsignor Cook Assembly. Having been blessed with much compassion for the sick, he faithfully visited his hospitalized and homebound brother Knights for more than 40 years. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Vince Gulikers at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. A tree will be planted in memory of Albert Prevost in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area
