Obituary of Lauretta Mary Lapointe

LAPOINTE, LAURETTA MARY (nee O’GRADY) – At Lambton Meadowview Villa, on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of 62 years of the late Rene Joseph Lapointe. Dear mother of Bruce Lapointe & his wife Chris, Sarnia, Leona Lapointe, Sarnia, Keith Lapointe & Helen Bruce, London, Karen & her husband Don Jordan, Surrey, B.C. and Henry Lapointe & his wife Jill, London. Loving grandmother of Steven & Trish Lapointe, Jennifer & Jason Killingsworth, Jeff Lapointe, Dawn Lapointe & Brian Collins, David and Katie Jordan, and Michael, Danielle and Thomas Lapointe. Great-grandmother of Ryan, Matthew and Kirsten Lapointe, and Emma and Zachary Killingsworth. Sister of Francis O’Grady & his wife Mary, Sudbury, Kenneth O’Grady, Sarnia, and Bernadette O’Grady, Wyoming. Predeceased by parents Thomas & Bernadette and brothers Mervin and Roger. A special heartfelt thank-you to all the “Angels” at Meadowview who looked after mom and dad. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Len Desjardins at Sacred Heart Church at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
