Obituary of Edna Lennox
LENNOX, Edna Angeline – Edna Angeline Lennox (Chartrand) born September 22, 1943 passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15th, at Bluewater Health with her family by her side. Eldest daughter of Rose Marie St. Cyr (2001) and John Chartrand (1980). Beloved wife to Bill Lennox for 52 years. Loving mother to Ann (Robert) Voigt and Scott (Michelle Comello) Lennox. Cherished grandmother of Justin & Connor Voigt and Will & Claire Lennox. Dear sister of Jackie (Maurice) Capes, Ann (John) Cornell and Gus (Gloria) Chartrand. Sister-in-law of Liz (George) Webster and David (Phyllis) Lennox. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edna graduated from S.C.I.T.S. in 1961, worked for a law firm for 20 yrs. before working at Dow Chemical for 16 yrs., retiring in 1999. Edna was an energetic lady who enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, crafting, photography and knitting, having knitted over 120 Christmas stockings for family. A devote Roman Catholic at St. Benedict's Parish for 50 plus years, Edna was a member of the C.W.L. and loved helping to run the fall bazaars. She will be dearly missed by her S.C.I.T.S. girls and her friends from Club. Forever to be blessed to have had a super friend from grade 1 to present day, Brenda Stack. Edna succumbed to many years of chronic pain starting with degenerative discs, several back operations and related illnesses. Many thanks go to her doctors and their staff for trying to make her last few years tolerable. Special thanks to the entire team in I.C.U. at Bluewater Health. Most of all to Dr. Lori Kolano and staff for their care, comfort and compassion at this trying time. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday, August 19th., 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Tom Donohue at St. Benedict's Church on Wednesday, August 20th, at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Edna Lennox in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area
