Obituary of Larry Grant Musselman
MUSSELMAN, Larry Grant- Larry was born in Kitchener on January 7, 1938 and died peacefully, after a short illness, with family by his side at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Friday, January 22, 2010. Loving husband of the late Carol (2007) for 49 years. Loving father of Grant and his wife Cindy, Paul and his partner Lisa, Julie and her husband Mike Maheu, and Jane and her husband Chris Wigle. Proud grandpa of Kyle and Kody Musselman and Amanda (Dowswell) and Jenna Maheu. Our father was an accomplished hockey player, having been drafted by the Montreal Canadiens of the original six, and an assistant pro at Westmount G. & C. C. The passing of our father was after a nine year struggle in which he endured many medical setbacks which he was able to overcome with his personal inner strength and determination. Larry was a great inspiration to his family and everyone who knew his struggles. Loving thanks to the nurses of Palliative Care, staff of Afton Park Place and all the Sarnia agencies that assisted him with his needs. He will be sadly missed by his family. Friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., on Thursday, January 28th from 12-2 p.m. Funeral service will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross, 416 East St. N., Sarnia, ON, N7T 6Y4.
