Obituary of Bill Solomon

SOLOMON, “Bill” Panko William – At Bluewater Health, Mitton Site, on Sunday, March 2, 2008, Bill died peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Mollie for 60 years. Loving father of Gary (Linda) Solomon and Christine (Jorge) Fabian. Proud grandfather of Jessica, Jacob, Mollie, Elizabeth, Elijah and Joshua. Dear brother of Nellie Hogue, Midland, MI, and brother-in-law of Catherine Billey, Karol (Olga) Billey, Ottawa, and Nick (Joan) Billey, Winnipeg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Bill served as a Signalman with the R.C.A from 1939-1940, retired from Lambton Ford where he worked in the service department for 30 years, and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and St. Benedict’s Conference. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at St. Benedict’s Church on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 106 East St., Box 173, Sarnia, ON, N7T 7H9 or the Parkinson Society of Canada, 4500 Blakie Rd., Unit 117 Meadowbrook Business Park, London, ON, N6L 1G5.
