Obituary of Bill Solomon
SOLOMON, “Bill” Panko William – At Bluewater Health, Mitton Site, on Sunday, March 2, 2008, Bill died peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Mollie for 60 years. Loving father of Gary (Linda) Solomon and Christine (Jorge) Fabian. Proud grandfather of Jessica, Jacob, Mollie, Elizabeth, Elijah and Joshua. Dear brother of Nellie Hogue, Midland, MI, and brother-in-law of Catherine Billey, Karol (Olga) Billey, Ottawa, and Nick (Joan) Billey, Winnipeg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Bill served as a Signalman with the R.C.A from 1939-1940, retired from Lambton Ford where he worked in the service department for 30 years, and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and St. Benedict’s Conference. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. A tree will be planted in memory of William Solomon in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 21st, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
