Obituary of Frances Emily Jay

JAY, Frances Emily (nee Ketley) - Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health on Thursday, June 25, 2015, Frances Emily Jay died at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Ross James Jay (1993). Loving mother of Mary Lou LaPratte & her husband Roland, Kathryn Hay & her husband Roger and Debra Gruntz & her husband Richard, all of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Deanna & Dean Simmons, Craig LaPratte, LeeAnn LaPratte, Ronald Jay, Rebecca Hay, Jessica Hay, Tracy Gruntz, Chris Gruntz & partner Amber and Ryan Gruntz and Stephanie Gruntz. Cherished great-grandmother of Keith & Matt Simmons, Samantha Kameka, Alishia & Nicholas LaPratte, Ayden & Alivia Gruntz and Makayla Brandon-Gruntz. Also survived by her special aunt Dorothy Giffin. Predeceased by her parents John & Marion Ketley, brother William & son Allan Jay. Frances was a loving mother and a devoted and loyal friend. Her passion was her family. She loved to sing and was given the knick name "The Singing Angel" by the staff at Sumac lodge. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving and compassionate care given to Frances by the staff at Sumac Lodge and Bluewater Health. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
