Obituary of Mary Eileen Benninger

BENNINGER (O’Rourke), Eileen – Peacefully at home on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Bill for 62 years. Loving mother of Bill Benninger, Bruce (Linda) Benninger and Joan (Michael) Roffey. Proud grandmother of Kirk and Colleen Benninger and Matthew and Katie Roffey. Dear sister of Rita (late Al) Angus. Predeceased by brother Tyrrell (Norma) O’Rourke. Eileen was a 62 year member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada. She was a cherished friend to many, including her wonderful neighbours, members of the Sacred Heart Church community, her “Sing-a-long” friends and the dear ladies in the bridge club. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
