Obituary of Madeleine Frances Dozois
DOZOIS (nee Tremblay) Madeleine Frances - Surrounded by family, Madeleine, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2016 after a long courageous battle with a Parkinson's-related disease. Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lawrence (Larry) Dozois. Devoted mother to Paulette, Paul, Elaine (Jim) and Marie-Theresa (Sikander). Cherished Mémé to Geoffrey, Andraya, Kyle, Elizabeth, David, Claire and Adam as well as her great-grandchildren Evangeline, Chelsia, Sarah and Emmaline. Survived by her dear sister Betty Marentette and many sisters and brothers-in-law as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Eva and Hector Tremblay, sister Thelma Pinsonneault and brothers Thomas and Frederick Tremblay. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Madeleine was raised in Chatham and moved to Sarnia in 1956. She was a long standing member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, the Catholic Women's League, a Sears Canada retiree and a very active community volunteer for many years. Special thanks to the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor, in particular those in Rose Hall. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 390 Christina St. N. Sarnia, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 9 – 9:50 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following visitation at 10 a.m. A reception in the church hall will follow Mass.
