Obituary of James John Guzi

GUZI, James John - It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of JAMES JOHN GUZI at the age of 95. Jim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20th, 2017 at Twin Lakes Terrace in Sarnia with his family by his side. Beloved husband and soul mate of the late Gladys Guzi (Taylor). Born in Hungary, and immigrated to Canada in 1928 with his family. Loving father to son Jim Guzi (Vicky) and daughter Diane Viggers (Rick). Jim will be sadly missed by his adoring grandchildren, Virginia (Troy), Sarah (Greg), Kevin (Rekha) Stephen (Claire) and Sandi. Blessed with five loveable great-grandchildren, Jayvyn, Jessen, Gavin, Ava and Nolan. Lovingly remember by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Guzi (Lasckas), brothers Sam and Walter. Jim was a strong man with a kind soul, always ready to lend a helping hand. He loved to be outdoors tending to his garden and feeding the birds. He was a self-taught handyman who spent many hours in his workshop building his next project. Jim, you will forever be in our hearts! The family wishes to thank the staff at Twin Lakes Terrace for lovingly caring for Jim and listening to all his stories. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 23 from 7 to 9 pm at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. The funeral service will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
