For much of my life, I was unaware that I had a cousin named Marguerite. There is a 27 year gap in our ages. I am so glad that I finally met her in the summer of 1999; I liked her immediately. Over time, I came to treasure her friendship and her wisdom. My husband and I loved her dearly. She was our inspiration in many, many ways. She lived a full and independent life. She was an avid reader, a talented photographer, and a fellow traveler, relishing the journey as much as the destination. She made a great martini and served delicious dinners- and then shared the recipes with us. Her rum cake was legendary! She had a way with people, no matter what age. We will miss her tremendously.

I met Marg through my London Ontario Gallery in 1978. It did not take long for her to be part of our four generation family. She became my big (4’10”) sister. She was an adopted aunt to our three children. She was part of our family gatherings, weddings and passings through all those years.
One memorable trip was in New York together with Robbie Carroll. Bill thought I was safe and out of trouble with Marg but not always so with her drive for adventure.
Marg continued our relationship with her many visits to our Bayfield retirement home. She was family not a guest. We were often on the phone passing on daily events or current concerns.
I already miss the joy, the guidance and the sharing of life that this strong and independent lady passed on.

I knew Marguerite through the Horticultural Society. She was a lovely warm, friendly lady, and always had a cheerful word for me. She loved showing her garden and touring other gardens. We will miss her at the Horticultural Society.

I. share in the loss of this kind women who lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed friends and family, she touched everyone in a different way, as she had the ability to Identify with all, and engaged with all by expanding on their strengths and interest.
She will be missed by her sister, sister in law and many nieces, nephews She Is likely running the kitchen in heaven, and tweaking the recipe just a little, for the dinner party.

I remember Marguerite as she surveyed & collected the best art at the Alcove Art Gallery. I saw her often at the buying trips at the Convention Centre in Toronto. She was always a classy Lady. She was lovely woman who contributed much to the uplifting of the Sarnia cultural scene.

Therese, our deepest heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your sister.
So many great memories will stay with us forever such as Marguerite arriving at our house with her big bag of camera gear to capture the deer in our yard. We will miss her many phone calls where we would update each other on various bird species comings and goings, weather reports and how big the tomatoes were getting. We will miss her "Katie Reports" when we would get full status of Kate's many downs but Marguerite would leave no stone unturned to nurture Kate back to having a 'good day'.
Most of all though we will miss our dearest wonderful friend, so full of life with her infectious smile, such an inspiration.
Our condolences to the Seguin Families.
Marguerite will be forever in our hearts ..... Gina and Brian Kirk (London. On)

Marg was an amazing role model and a surrogate mother for all her "girls". I worked for her for 14 years and the lessons I learned have guided me all my life. She was the definition of "live life to the fullest". Her rum cake and blueberry pie recipes will be passed on for generations to come.....bye my friend.

What a lovely lady. I remember her from the Alcove where she was professional, kind and always very helpful. I also encountered her at times in the neighbourhood and walked away from our encounters feeling uplifted and inspired as she shared her latest goings-on. Rest in peace, Marguerite.
