Obituary of Bill Smyth
SMYTH, John William "Bill" - It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of John William “Bill” Smyth at the age of 77 at Bluewater Health after breathing complications on February 7, 2018. Cherished husband, best friend, and soul mate of Nannette Smyth for 56 years. Devoted father to his two beloved daughters, Carrie (the late Mark) Mousseau and Charlene (Terry) McWatters. Loving grandfather of Mike Mousseau, Mark (Rushika) Mousseau, Marie (Adam) Hull, and Cory McWatters. Proud great grandfather of Brendan Hull. Beloved son of Marguerite Smyth and the late Jack and Marie Smyth. Dear older brother of Jackie (Gerard) Prentice and David (Judy) Smyth. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill rejoiced in all time spent with his wife and cherished picnics in the park, trips to the theatre, and walks hand in hand. Bill will be remembered for his love of golf, woodworking, and his family. Many hours were spent laughing with friends by the pool and cheering on his grandchildren in all of their endeavours. He loved to dance with his wife and hum along to his favourite Dean Martin songs. He was a proud employee of DOW Chemical for 36 years and a parishioner of St. Benedict’s Parish. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Fr. When tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t think we’re far apart
For every time you think of me
I’m right there, in your heart.
