Obituary of Frank John Bandura
BANDURA, Frank John
Forever in our hearts
Peacefully, with his family by his side, we are devastated to announce the passing of Frank Bandura on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Frank was a devoted, loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Nothing was more important to him than his family. Survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Judy, children Tamie (Bill Hoekstra), Karen (Dale Sayer), Sandy (Bob Lush) and Mark (Aaron Brown). Also survived by grandchildren Stacie (Kevin Fines), Matt (Robyn Hoekstra), Samantha (Dan Wellbelove), Kurtis, Kevin and Annie and great-grandchildren Ethen, Averie, Aubrie and Liam. Frank was a loving brother and had a special bond with his only sibling Mary Jane (Bryan Ferrell). Brother-in-law of Norine (Paul Barr), Marge (Ray Taglietti), Glyn (Judy Jones), Linda Jones (Rick 2017) and son-in-law of Charlotte Jones. For as long as we can remember, Dad took great joy in planning annual family trips to Bass Lake Lodge, Gravenhurst, Sunset Cove and Anglers Cove, (to name a few), to bring us all together. These are memories we shall cherish forever. He enjoyed nothing more than a spirited game of euchre (especially beating Bob!) and tending to his garden where he proudly shared his prize tomatoes and hearty marigolds he grew each year from seedlings, with family, friends and neighbours. Frank was a long time member of St. Benedict’s parish. Over the years he served on the Building & Grounds Committee, was a Eucharistic Minister and lent his voice to the choir. He was proud of the illustrious career he enjoyed in the Engineering Department of Imperial Oil for 33 years. In respecting Frank’s wishes cremation has taken place and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, 115 John St, Sarnia, ON N7T 2Z1. Arrangements entrusted to The McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (519-344-3131). Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
