Obituary of Donato Marinaro

MARINARO, Donato – With his family by his side at Bluewater Health, Donato Marinaro died peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018.  Beloved husband of Maria (Spina). Loving father of Albert Marinaro & his wife Beverley and Vince Marinaro, Sarnia.  Cherished grandpa of Robert & his fiancée Anita, London, Joseph & his wife Caitlyn, Corunna and Michael, Montreal.  Proud nono of Cruz & Monroe Marinaro and he was excited for the arrival of the 3rd great-grandchild.  Dear brother of Giuseppina Iorio, the late Antonietta Caruso & her husband Antonio and the late Perla Minutella & her husband Feliciano, Italy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy.  Predeceased by his parents Albert & Cristina Marinaro.  Donato had two passions in his life, first and foremost was his love and joy for his grandchildren & great-grandchildren and second was spending hours in his garden. He was a 50 year member of Labourers International 1089 and was a long time member of the Dante Club where he was always up for a good game of bocci. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Cheong for his excellent care.  Also thank you to the ICU nurses at Bluewater Health for their compassion and care.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m.  Entombment Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
