Obituary of Daniel Karl Flegel

FLEGEL, Daniel Karl – At Bluewater Health on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Joan (Carragher). Dear father of Karl Flegel (Dawn), Corunna and Shannon Flegel-Robinson (Brent), Sarnia. Loving grampie of Brooke Robinson, Kenya Flegel and Ava Flegel. Brother of Ed, Bob Irene, Rose, Mildred and Margaret. Predeceased by parents John & Mary Flegel and brothers Jack and Tony Flegel. Dan was the production manager and a partner in the Sarnia Gazette. He was a gentleman and a friend to many. He enjoyed golf and baseball, both as a player and a spectator, as well as the weekly Thursday night card game with his friends.  And he found his greatest joy when surrounded by his family. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
