My contacts with Dorothy were primarily through my wife, Jane Bowles, who died the same week as John. Jane and Dorothy shared a passion for Botany and very much enjoyed each other's company while botanizing. Dorothy was an important contributor to the Thames Talbot Land Trust, and her memory will be forever immortalized by the Tiedje Woods, in North Middlesex. I offer my condolences to her entire family.
