Obituary of Joseph Laurent "Larry" Leon Louis Gagnon

GAGNON, Joseph Laurent Leon Louis “Larry” – Surrounded by his family at Afton Park Place on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the age of 90. Larry was born on April 10, 1928 in Tremblay (Chicoutimi), Quebec. Beloved husband of the late Mary Theresa (Mino) (2010) for 61 years. Cherished father of six children and their families: Linda Pemberton (Lloyd), Cathy Wigchert (John), Brenda Hemstreet (Martin), Sue Sivell (Eric), Larry Gagnon (Barb) and Brian Gagnon (Helen). Cherished grandfather to Julie Aguiar (Lino), Kevin Hemstreet (Sheina), Charlene Hemstreet (Rob Heppenheimer), Bill Hemstreet (Susan Dunn), Sean Brydges (Amanda), Ryan Brydges (Tara), Brittany Morley, Melissa Smith, Jamie Gagnon (Nikki) and Aaron Gagnon. Treasured great-grandfather of Brittany and Tamus Ryan, Julia Heppenheimer, Benjamin and Joshua Aguiar, Osiris and Vincent Hemstreet, Billi and Elli Hemstreet, Ian Brydges, Elliana and Everleigh Gagnon. Great-great-grandfather of Tanner Duckalow. Brother of Andre Gagnon (Jeanine). Brother-in-law of Anne Luciantonio, Joe Mino (Pauline), Marion Mino, John Mino (Carol) and Liz Teft (Wayne). Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Larry was a life long member of Local 663. He loved his Montreal Canadiens and enjoyed golfing, playing pool, fishing and bowling. A private family service will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia.
