Obituary of Graham White Robertson
ROBERTSON, Graham – Peacefully at University Hospital, London on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Deirdre (2011) for 49 years. Proud father of Nancy Blinn (Leo), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Julie Robertson (Ian Rodger), Sarnia and Christine Robertson, Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Kayleigh, Iona and Buster. Great-grandfather of Monica Juliet MacLean. Predeceased by infant grandson Carter. Graham was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He trained as a draftsman, but worked as a municipal tax assessor until his retirement in 1999. Once retired, he often speculated on how he even had time to work in the first place. In his “retirement” he drove school bus, delivered motorhomes cross country, cared for his horses, and farmed his property on Blackwell Sideroad that he was ever so proud of. He was a nurturer by nature and everything and everyone he tended to thrived under his tender, patient care. He was a quiet, gentle man who enjoyed his robust health until the end. He will be woefully missed. A memorial service will be held at Canon Davis Memorial Anglican Church on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, (519-344-3131). As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, 714 London Rd., Sarnia, N7T 4Y1, Hope For Wildlife, 5909 Highway 207, Seaforth, Nova Scotia, B0N 1J0 or Bluewater Centre for Raptor Rehabilitation Centre, R.R. #2, Wyoming, N0N 1T0.
