Obituary of Petronella Mary "Nicky" Renaud

RENAUD, Petronella “Nicky” (nee Welten) –  Nicky passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Friday, August 3, 2018.  Beloved wife of Larry for 57 years. Devoted and cherished mother of Joe (Kathie), Sudbury, Tom, Woodstock, Beth (Tom Williams), New Dundee, Bill (Christine), Sarnia and John (Tina), Ilderton. Loving nana of Larry, Annika and David Renaud, Jessica and Jack Renaud, Ethan, Abby and Aidan Williams, Logan and Julia Renaud and Benjamin and Charlie Renaud.  Sister of Mia Delorme (Dale), Camlachie, Vicki Tichbourne, Owen Sound, Ini Herron, (Bob), Victoria, B.C., Martina Goldsmith (Bob), Guelph and Joanne Young (Ross), Toronto. Predeceased by her parents Peter & Frances Welten, brother Martin Welten, stepfather, Martin Nuyen, and granddaughter Lauren Renaud. Nicky was born in 1940 in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1950. She was a teacher with L.C.R.C.S.S.B. retiring in 1995. Nicky volunteered with numerous organizations including The Canadian Cancer Society since 1977. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and a very active and dedicated member of parish life at Sacred Heart Church. Family and friends will be received at Sacred Heart Church (Charlesworth at Lecaron) on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. for visitation.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
