Obituary of June Solvey Berube

BERUBE, June Solvey  - Passed away peacefully at Vision Nursing Home on August 12, 2018 at the age of 85. June is survived by her six children: Dan Berube (spouse of Sandi) Caroline Berube, Julie Berube, Shelly Mallon, David Berube (spouse of Joanne) Ron Berube (partner of Wendy) her brother Carl Strand, sister Linda Wallsteadt and her grandchildren: Derek and Launa Kindret, Jack and Sadie Mallon, Ben and Charlotte Berube, as well as many family members whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ross Berube, brothers Norman Strand, Ben Strand and sister Bernice Lundale. June was born in Dryden Ont. on June 24, 1933. She graduated from SCITS Collegiate and worked at the TD Bank where she met Ross, the man of her dreams. They wed and were blessed with six children that she dedicated her life to. June was a very creative person and enjoyed quilting and sewing, gardening, reading and collecting antiques. She also volunteered as a girl guide leader at Sacred Heart Parish. June was a kind and loving person who always welcomed people into her home and her heart. She will be sadly missed by all. June’s family would like to thank the staff at Vision Nursing Home especially Brenda and Toni as well as the nurses at Bluewater Health for their wonderful care. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N. on Saturday, August 18 from 1-2 p.m. The memorial service will be held immediately following in the chapel at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to:The Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia, 420 N.
