Phylis was a kind gentle Christian soul. A woderful friend to myself and my mother. Mom's confidant for decades and she will be dearly missed. I always mused about Mom stuffung " something" in her purse when we would visit Phylis at the nursing home because she thought Phylis was probably " longing for something Jamaican to eat." Of course Phiylis would be very grateful and enjoy whatever it was she brought. I cant imagine what the staff would think if they found fried dumplings and ackee and salt fish stached away in Phylis' drawer; until she was ready to eat....but gauranteed once she ate it, she would call and thank Mom again. Be with your God my sister. No more sorrows!

To the Wheatley Family, Our Mom, Marcella became friends with your dear Mom, Phyllis at Trillium Villa, they shared a table in the dining room. My sister, Brenda and I visited many times, over the last months and got to know your Mom. She always had a warm smile on her face and a funny word to share with us. We laughed many times together at the table, she will be surely missed. Please keep all your shared memories close to your heart at this time, it will help ease some of the sorrow. Rest in Peace Great grandma. I am glad I was able to meet you and I will cherish all the fun times I had with you during the holiday seasons. The drive was very, very long to come and see you, but you and my mom cooking, talking to us and going to church was mostly fun. I will miss your hugs and funny jokes. I will forever think about the day I kept on talking and we shared a funny moment I will keep between us. Thank God I was able to meet you. Love Kiki, one day I hope to make your Peach Liqueur.
