Obituary of Charles Thomas Wesley Jennings
JENNINGS, Charles Thomas “Tom” – Tom passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Maria (1989) and the late Phyllis (2017). Loving father of Wesley Jennings (Lee Ann), Brampton, the late Brian Jennings, Sarnia, Deborah Harrison (late David), Sarnia and Joanna Jennings, Sarnia,. Step-father of Phyllis O’Brien (Dan), Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Anne Phillips (Jason), Brampton and great-grandfather of Tyler and Kaitlyn Phillips, Brampton. Step-grandfather of 6 and step-great-grandfather of 9. Brother of Fred Jennings (Sally), Sarnia. Brother-in-law of Floyd Payne, Sarnia. Predeceased by parents Charles & Rita Jennings and sister Mary Margaret Payne. Tom was an Air Cadet with the 44th Sarnia Squadron and was the oldest surviving member. He then served with the Canadian Armed Forces during W.W. II. Tom played trumpet in the Pressy Boys Band after the war and was a milkman for Silverwoods Dairy. He worked for the Sarnia Fire Department for 37 years and was a Platoon Chief for 23 years. Visitation will be held at Dunlop United Church, 757 Rosedale Ave on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 10-10:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow immediately following in the church at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by the Rev.
