Obituary of Kathryn Jane Charbonneau

CHARBONNEAU, Kathryn Jane – Kathryn passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the age of 85.  Beloved wife of the late Guy Charbonneau (2018). Predeceased by her parents Joseph & Haldon Steel. Loving mother of Jayne Toll (Peter), Pt. Edward; Michael Charbonneau, Aurora; and Diane Austin (Gary), Lapeer, MI. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Jeremy, Trevor, Caroline, Leah, Jack, Hannah, Natalie, and Theresa.  Dear sister of John Steel. She is also survived by several cousins. Kathryn was the heart of our family; she was a loving mother who cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She worked as a nursing supervisor at Sarnia General Hospital for 30 years. Kathy loved watching and playing golf, and she and Guy enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida. She was strong and resilient over the past two years, keeping her focus on God and family. Her life was a blessing and she will be deeply missed.  Cremation has taken place. A private family Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sarnia, with interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
