I found this picture of Jack(ie) when going through an old photo album. We grew up in the same town as first cousins. I think he might have been the cousin who convinced me that I should try picking spruce gum straight from a tree and chew on it…definitely not bubble gum!
I will miss his hearty laugh, his gentle smile, and very caring nature.
Sincere sympathies to Jean and all the family.
With love,
Susan Gordon

Over the years, there were many opportunities at family get-togethers to talk with Jack– even if it were only for a short time on each occasion. I still find it strange to call him Jack – he was known for most of those years as Jackie, even though he was the eldest cousin. The thing I remember most was the genuine interest he showed in others. He would listen attentively to what you had to say and ask many questions. A wonderful listener. I also remember those sparkling eyes, his easy laugh and that wonderful smile. A remarkable man. My deepest sympathies to Jean and family. We will all miss him.

Dear Jean and Family,
Jack was truly a wonderful person who wore so many hats in life. This photo is one of my favourites of Jack, I will always remember him with that beautiful smile and that devilish twinkle in his eye. He will be missed by so many, myself included. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult period of mourning.

Remembering dear Jack and all the kindnesses he showed us after the death of Mike - taking Sean Rory and Jeremy for rides in his old car - even once in the parade :) letting them come down to the basement to interact with the trains - he even chased a bat out of our house once - these small things that meant so much and more. Thinking of you all and sending condolences and love and bearing witness to a life well lived. Marj

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Jack. I have many great memories of working alongside Jack at the Kiwanis Centre when I worked at both OLL and Rebound. Jack was a gentle, giving soul and he made an impact on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sincerest condolences to the entire Gordon family. I have fond memories of Mr. Gordon from my years of playing at your home as a kid. I was fascinated with his model train collection and all of the many collectables that he had in his basement. Also, Mr. Gordon's older cars that he had stored in the garage, the old Model A (I think) Ford and the Datsun 240 in particular were fantastic! He always had a smile and a cheerful "Hello" when I came over to visit Ken. I also recall him providing Ken and I with advice before we suited up to play SMAA minor football together. He told us how to play like his beloved Alouettes to come out with a win! My memories are decades old, but I still think of Mr. Gordon as a very kind and pleasant man, a good father, and an avid collector. May all the memories of him live on. Rest in peace Mr. Gordon.
