Obituary of Helen Theresa Cahill

CAHILL, Helen Theresa -Peacefully with her family by her side, Helen Cahill died At Sumac Lodge  on Tuesday, October 25,  2022 at the age of 87. Loving sister of Sister Mary Diane Cahill (Alma).  Cherished Aunt of Michael Taylor (Marcy) and their children Brad, Danielle, Tianna and Logan. Sister-in-Law to Jessie Cahill and her children Jeff, Jim and Patrick. Helen was also an Aunt  to Glen Cahill (Heather) and their children Emma and Grace. Predeceased by her parents Vincent (1964)  and Helen (Nellie) 1987) Cahill, sister Diane Van Erp (1962), sister Fran Taylor (2014), and her brother Michael Cahill (2002).

 

Helen was a long-time employee (39 years) at what started as Polmer and retired after the company was bought out by Bayer. Her cheerful personality endeared her to many people. She was the glue that kept the family together. She had the biggest heart and the best sense of humour. She will be warmly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place.

 

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Monday October 31, 2022, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Following visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Monday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Lakeview Cemetery to follow.
