Doris [Mum] had many goals that she conquered in her life. Her most recent goal was to set the record in reaching 100 years of age and becoming the longest living relative in our family. Born in London, England, Doris was a true follower of her Majesty, The Queen and all things Royal. Doris received one of the very last letters of congratulations from Her Majesty, The Queen, to honour of her 100th birthday. Doris was an incredible crafter, donating her talents and time to many charitable organizations in her lifetime. From her earliest year in Great Britain, she was self-taught in many occupations, from working in the war factors, learning the old way of being a seamstress to tent making to upholstery to the creation of neoprene diving suits to her last occupation as a retiree. Age never slowed Doris down, when she wasn’t knitting, quilting, or reading a good mystery novel she was pumping iron at the Iron Works gym putting many younger patrons to shame. She was smart, funny, loving, and stubborn, a true Brit. Her family will all miss her tremendously and Luv her forever.
