An I was very lucky to have been welcomed into the home of the Mr & Mrs Savage as a kid an friend of Steve an by Tony & Mike too an had many great memories an fun hanging out there as Mr & Mrs Savage always made you feel welcomed an cared for. Sending our deepest condolences to you all. I looked up to my uncle Ron, and being in his company was always special. I know you will all pull together to get through this challenging time, and Ron will now be on the next part of the journey proud of the children he raised with Josie, and the grandchildren they have gone on to give them. Fittingly, I’m at the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final today, and will remember Uncle Ron during the communal singing of ‘Abide With Me’ before kick off. See you down the road Uncle Ron.
