Obituary of Ellen Clare Ross

ROSS (MILLER), Ellen Clare – Peacefully surrounded by her family, Clare passed away at Marshall Gowland Manor on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late John Victor ‘Jack” Ross (2016) for 70 years. Dear mother of David Ross, Camlachie and John Ross (Helen), Bright’s Grove. Loving grandmother of Daniel (Taryn), Robyn Stevens, Darcy, Samantha Burke (Justin), Jonathon, Janine Rapaich (Sean) and Jesse. Great-grandmother of Alexia, Emily, Evelyn, Blake, Dakota, Emma, Connor, Makayla and Ava. Great-great-grandmother of Nixon and Haze. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Douglas and Iva Miller, brothers David, Clifford and Lloyd Miller and sister Nadine Soper. Clare’s family would like to thank the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor, Poppy for all the loving care given to her during her stay there. Special thanks to hairdresser Jen for keeping Nana beautiful every Friday for the past 9 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by at St. Michael’s Church (corner of Wildwood and Lakeshore, Bright’s Grove) on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Michael’s/St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, 1920 Wildwood Dr., Bright’s Grove, N0N 1C0 or Sarnia & District Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia, N7T 7W8.
