Obituary of Leona Therese Potvin

POTVIN, Leona Therese (nee Haché) – Leona died peacefully at Bluewater Health on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Robert Potvin (2020). Loving mother of Mark, Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Adrien and Miles whom she loved dearly. Dear sister of Gerard Haché (late Cecile), Arthur Haché, Alphonsine Clement (Gordon) and Evelyne Boudreau (Augustin). Sister-in-law of Jean Guy Gionet and Jean Rheal Poirier. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Albert & Anna Haché, sisters Ella Haché, Florence Poirier, Marie Gauthier (Oliver) and Huberte Gionet and brothers Raymond Haché (Jacqueline), Paul Haché (Ghislaine) and Jean Hache (Rose-Aimee). Leona lived to entertain and cook incredible meals for her family and friends. She loved to make it special. Leona and Bob were both very involved in Club Joliet and St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to Bluewater Health, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3 or St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N.
