I met Bob through my friend Alex Sasso and met him in Toronto on a number of occasions. He was always good for a laugh, and I recall even during his health troubles, this did not change. My heart goes out to all of those who knew him and are feeling a great loss.

Bob was 'brother' in my fraternity class at the U of Windsor (pi lambda phi). We kept in touch on FB and email throughout the years, I remember him as always being very jovial and having a smile on his face. I've very sorry to hear of his way to early passing.

Bob will always remain one of my very best friends. No matter what he went through the old Bob was always there, his laugh and smile were inextinguishable, despite the challenges. My deepest condolences to the Magtanong family for your terrible loss. Bob was a dear friend and a huge help to me in my first job as a business writer in Toronto's financial district. He always picked up the phone when I needed answers to currency or securities questions. I found out years later that Bob was known as "the only ethical trader on Bay Street." He was deeply humble about his knowledge and practice. Bob, please rest in peace after a difficult journey. You will be greatly and sorely missed.
