Obituary of Margaret Lowanna Marut

MARUT, Margaret - God called home his child Margaret on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Adam (2016) for 74 years. Loving mother of David (Janis), Lewis (Patricia), Cathy, Lisa (David), and Tim (Tracy). Cherished grandmother of 10 & great-grandmother of 8. Margaret was born in Cobalt into a large family and grew up in Kirkland Lake. In 1950 she married Adam and shortly after they moved to Sarnia. Being a registered nurse by trade came in handy raising her children. Margaret was a member of both St. Benedict’s Church and CWL for over 60 years. After her children were grown, she worked at Sears until her retirement. Margaret will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. The family would like to thank the staff at Twin Lakes Terrace for the care Margaret received. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. Benedict's Church at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery to follow.
