Obituary of Thomas Joseph Hamilton
HAMILTON, Thomas Joseph Paul - Tom passed away peacefully at Lambton Meadowview Nursing Home on August 11, 2024 at the age of 94.
Born and raised in Sarnia, Dad had a great love of the water, enjoying the boat he helped his father build to take his family out on the St. Clair River. As an avid fan of all sporting events, he especially enjoyed football. He had a schoolboy sense of humour which was enjoyed by his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Dad was married to his beautiful wife Mary (O’Brien) for 61 years. They raised 4 wonderful children Richard, Margaret ‘Kitty’ (Lonnie) Connelly, Julia (Neil) Hicks and Eileen ‘Babe’ (Martin) Smith.
He was a loving Grandpa to Diana, Halina (Dave), Mark, Patrick, Danny, James, Sean (Annie) Rebecca, Andrew (Laura) Megan (Jesse) & Connor. Great Grandpa to Isla, Eli, Harlow, Brody & Liam.
Tom was predeceased by his loving wife Mary (2016), his parents Joseph and Marguerite and sisters Mary Gray, Dorothy Kloske, and Shirley McGregor.
He was a dear brother to Joseph and Marguerite Hamilton and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dad retired from a lifelong career at Polysar. He also was a charter member of St. Benedict’s Church, Sarnia.
We would like to thank the staff at Lambton Meadowview for the wonderful and loving care given to our dad and for supporting our family during his stay.
"Those we love remain part of us. Our loved ones leave this world but never our hearts... Always remembered, always loved, forever together."
